Common Questions about Gasparilla Properties

Gasparilla Vacations wants you to truly enjoy your stay in Boca Grande. Here are a some FAQ's about our services, island life, and our luxury rental properties. 

What is required to make a reservation?  
You can browse our site for current availability and rates (under each property details page). Some homes are able to book right on the site. Some properties require you to, either call us at 941-964-1426 or fill out the property reservation inquiry (located on each property details page). We will need your name, phone numbers, email address and the number of adults and children traveling with you. An emergency contact number is suggested as well.
A deposit (or payment in full for reservations made with-in 60 days prior to arrival) and signed lease agreement will be required at the time of booking.  We currently accept VISA, MC, AMEX and Discover credit cards.  Along with e-checks, you can also arrange to overnight a personal check or make a bank to bank wire transfer.  After your reservation has been processed, you will receive an email with your reservation number, welcome letter, invoice (reflecting each payment) as well as the terms and conditions of your specific vacation rental.

When is check-in & check-out time?
Your vacation rental will be available for check-in at 3:00 p.m. An early check-in can be coordinated for an additional fee in certain circumstances. If the property has a check-out the day of your arrival we will not be able to coordinate an early check-in because our housekeeping staff will not have enough time to prepare the house for your arrival. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. A vacation home requires more time to clean than a hotel room, so please help us prepare for our next guest by being on time.

Where are the best beaches on the island?
There are several great beach choices here on the Island. Just drive south on Gulf Blvd. Starting at 19th St. and going south there are street end access points. These beaches have limited parking, no restrooms, but offer less crowds and free parking. On the island are 4 state parks with beach access. CLICK HERE for an area beach guide. 

Sandspur Beach- has the Boca Grande range light, restrooms, and picnic shelters.
Seagrape Beach- primitive, with parking and port-a-potty. 
Seawall Beach- primitive with parking and port-a-potty.
Lighthouse Park- is overlooking the Boca Grande Pass, and also features the historic Boca Grande lighthouse and small nature museum.  

Is it safe to swim at the beaches?
There are no lifeguards at our local beaches, swimming is at your own risk. Be aware of marine life and rip currents. It is advised not to swim at Lighthouse Park, or near the Boca Grande Pass as that area has strong currents. 

It seems that everyone has a golf cart. Can we rent one too? 
Yes, we can have your unbranded golf cart waiting for you when you arrive. With web bookings you can choose any extras including golf carts, and they will be ready upon your arrival. Or just let us know and we will make the arrangements. 

Do you have occupancy limits?
Yes. All of our rental properties have established occupancy limits, which you can find stated on each individual property listing on this website. Occupancy limits for each property are monitored.

Do you provide cribs or highchairs?
We do not provide, but our concierge has arrangements with a local rental company that can supply all your baby gear. Gasparilla Vacations can make all arrangements and have everything delivered prior to your arrival. 

Do you allow pets? 
Unfortunately, we do not allow any pets in our rentals.

Do you offer travel insurance?
Yes. We recommend that you consider purchasing optional travel interruption insurance to cover you in case you have to cancel before you leave home due to an occurrence covered by the policy. Once on your vacation, travel interruption insurance covers you and your party in case of injury or illness, natural disasters or unexpected family emergencies that might cause you to cut your trip short. While on your vacation, CSA (our insurance provider) offers a 24 hour nurse hotline, legal referral, lost ticket and baggage assistance, and many other benefits.

Is there a lost and found?
Yes. If you’ve left something behind on your visit and we find it, we can arrange to have it shipped back to you via UPS or FedEx. Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping charges.  Any items not claimed after 60 days will be donated locally.
